چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Objective: Functional abdominal pain (FAP) as a debilitating disorder, have a high prevalence among children. The goal of this study was to evaluate patients' and parents' perceptions of health-related quality of life (QoL) for children with functional abdominal pain. Materials and Methods: Between April 2018 and June 2019, 200 children (including 100 With FAP and 100 healthy) and 200 parents were participated in this study. Participants completed a health-related QoL scale (Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory), which was scored on a scale of 0 (poor) through 100 (best). Children with FAP and their parents were compared with control groups of healthy children. Results: Children with FAP had lower self-reported QoL scores (46.97±17.43) than healthy children (78.69±13.02) and difference was significant (P < 0.05). Parents of children with FAP reported lower QoL scores, compared with parents of control children 45.56±14.19 vs75.94±15.06; P < 0.05) but it was similar to those for their children. Conclusion: Present study has shown a poor parent-child QoL in children with FAP compared with healthy children.
