بررسی عملکردهای شناختی بیماران دیابتی نوع دو در مقایسه با بیماران پیش دیابتی |

هدف: دیابت نوع دو در کاهش شناختی بیماران مبتلا به این نوع دیابت و نیز بروز بیماری آلزایمر عامل مهمی به شمار می رود. اهداف این مطالعه ارزیابی بدکارکردی های شناختی بیماران مبتلا به دیابت نوع دو در مقایسه با بیماران پیش دیابتی و افراد سالم ونیز دادن بینش نسبت به بدکارکردی های شناختی در مراحل اولیۀ بیماری (مرحلۀ پیش دیابتی) است. روش: نمونه های این مطالعه 32 بیمار دیابتی نوع دو، 28 بیمار پی شدیابتی و 30 آزمودنی سالم بود. فرض این است که امکان دارد عملکردهای شناختی بیماران دیابتی نوع دو، بیماران پی شدیابتی وافراد سالم تفاوت هایی داشته باشد. عملکردهای شناختی با آزمون جمع کردن اعداد متوالی به صورت شنیداری، آزمون تصویر پیچیدۀ آندره ری و خرده آزمون مقیاس تجدید نظر شدۀ وکسلر بزرگسالان ارزیابی شد. یافته ها: نتایج مطالعه نشان داد که بیماران دیابتی نوع دو، بیماران پیش دیابتی و افراد سالم از نظر حافظه و پردازش اطلاعات تفاوت های معناداری دارند(0/05). نتیجه گیری: نتایج حاکی از وجود تفاوت های معنادار میان بیماران دیابتی نوع دو، بیماران پیش دیابتی و افراد سالم است که این خود اهمیت بازبینی حالات عصب روانشناختی و کنترل سطح قند خون این بیماران را نشان می دهد. مطالعات متعدد تأثیر دیابت نوع دو را بر عملکردهای شناختی گزارش کرده اند. یافته های این مطالعه با تأکیدات مطالعات پیشین در مورد اینکه بیماران دیابتی نوع دو و بیماران پیش دیابتی کاهش عملکرد شناختی را تجربه م یکنند، هماهنگ است. |

An Investigation of the Cognitive Performances in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes in Comparison to Pre-diabetic Patients |

Objective: Type 2 diabetes is an important risk factor for cognitive decline in patients with type 2 diabetes and an important risk factor for Alzheimer's disease. The main goal of this study was to assess cognitive dysfunctions in patients with type 2 diabetes, in comparison to pre-diabetic patients as well as normal subjects. Another aim was providing insight into cognitive dysfunctions in the early stage (pre-diabetic stage) of the disease. Method: The samples comprised of 32 patients with type 2 diabetes, 28 pre-diabetic patients and 30 healthy subjects. It was hypothesized that there might be possible differences among patients with type 2 diabetes, prediabetic patients and normal subjects. Cognitive performances were assessed by Paced Auditory Serial Addition Test (PASAT), Rey Complex Figure Test (RCFT) and subtests of Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale – Revised (WAIS–R) Test. Results: The results showed that there were significant differences in memory and information processing speed between patients with type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetic patients, and normal subjects (p ≤ 0.05). Conclusion: The results showed that there were differences in patients with type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetic patients. Therefore, monitoring the neuropsychological status, and controlling levels of blood sugar for these patients are important. Addressing various reports that studied the influence of type 2 diabetes on cognitive performance, the findings of the present study suggest that they are in accord with the literature, and stress that patients with type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetic patients experience a decline in their cognitive performance. |
