Discovering Factors of Divorce Through Bibliometric Analysis |

Introduction: Divorce is a global issue which has become a phenomenon that continues to increase every year. There has been a great deal of research on divorce; but up until now, there has not been any attempt to provide a thorough scientific mapping of the area. Through bibliometric analysis, the networks, patterns, and trends of divorce can be detected. The purpose of this study was to identify the network visualization, overlay visualization, and density visualization on the topic of factors that cause divorce.
Methods: It was a bibliometric analysis study. The keywords were identified through searching the database at https://app.dimensions.ai/ and followed the stages of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). The type of publication chosen was articles which were limited to the publication year of 2019-2023, with a focus on Human Society, Health Science, Psychology, and Biomedical fields. Data were analyzed using VOSviewer and then reviewed by the co-occurrence and co-authors.
Results: The factors behind divorce found in this bibliometric study are very diverse. From the Network Visualization, it was identified that there were 178 items divided into 7 clusters with a 5123 links and a total link strength of 40770. Through Overlay Visualization, the research trend regarding the factors related to divorce were early marriage, attitude toward marriage, HIV Testing, depressive symptoms, sexual abuse, Covid-19 pandemic and culture. Meanwhile, according to Density Visualization, the topics that have visualization in the low category were marital burnout, sexual violence against women (VAW), non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI), physical abuse, and sexual satisfaction.
Conclusion: Previous studies have found a lot about the factors of divorce thorough qualitative and quantitative study methods, but still few studies have focused on how to prevent divorce. For other researchers, it is recommended to choose a topic that belongs to the low visualization category to further explore themes that have not yet been widely researched. |
