عنوان انگلیسی New Insights and Perspectives in Human Menstrual Blood-derived Stem Cells as a New cell-based Delivery Technology in Regenerative Medicine
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Background: Menstrual blood has been identified as an important source for the isolation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). These stem cells can easily and non-invasively be harvested from menstrual blood during menstrual shedding. There have been lots of researches about menstrual blood-derived stem cells (MenSCs) differentiation potential and their application in the regenerative medicine and treatment of disease.
Observations: The aim of this paper is to review the current and future application of MenSCs in the field of regenerative medicine and cell therapy based on electronic search in various data bases like Scopus, PubMed, and Google scholar for english-language studies. The application of MenSCs in regenerative medicine can be the window of hope for the treatment of various diseases and disabilities such as female infertility, diabetes type1, myocardial infarction, wound healing, neurodegenerative diseases, and many other conditions that was thought to be incurable in the past.
Conclusions: Nowadays, the use of MenSC as a novel source of mesenchymal stem cells due to the two important factors of non-invasive accessibility and the immunomodulatory potential of these cells, which were always the most important obstacle in the route of stem cell therapy, they have got special interests for scientists. Until today they have been lots of research on these cells, and there are still lots of ongoing research and studies since scientists could take advantage of these cells through their differentiation potential and optimizing differentiation conditions and protocols for their application in regenerative medicine.
