عنوان انگلیسی The Strategy of National Development and Iran,s Accession to The World Trade Organization (WTO)
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله ABSTRACTExperts believe that Islamic Republic of Iran’s Accession to World Trade Organization (WTO) is bound to have tremendous benefits for the country, improving domestic economy as well as boosting international ties and partnerships. Iran has filed the application to join the WTO since 1996 but ever since, it’s efforts has been marred by a variety of reasons, both domestic and abroad which is most notably due to the US opposition to Iran’s membership. By choosing the descriptive-explanatory method, this research aims to explore the efforts made by Iran during those two decades in regard to the implementation of General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) as well as the WTO accession. Furthermore, it has been concluded that while Iran made significant steps forward to alter its Grand Strategy of National Development in order to further reconcile with the WTO criterion, there are still irreconcilable differences between Iran’s domestic economy and the standards required by the World Trade Organization.
