اهمیت توجه به افکار و رفتار خودکشی در کودکان خردسال: «تهدید به خودکشی در یک کودک پنج‌ساله» |

هدف: هدف گزارش حاضر توجه به افکار خودکشی در کودکان و ارزیابی این افکار بود. گزارش مورد: این گزارش به معرفی کودک پنج‌سالهای می‌پردازد که با علائم تهدید به خودکشی و دیگرکشی با کارد، بی‌قراری، پرحرفی، تحریک‌پذیری و درگیری جسمی و کلامی با اطرافیان می‌پردازد. وی پیشتر، با تشخیص اختلال کمبود توجه و بیش‌‌فعالی، به‌طور کوتاه‌مدت و ناقص با متیل‌فنیدیت درمان شده بود و در زمان تهیه گزارش، در بخش روانپزشکی کودکان بیمارستان شهید بهشتی کرمان، برای نوبت دوم و با فاصله زمانی کوتاه از ترخیص نوبت اول، بستری بود. تفکر در مورد خودکشی، دیگر کشی و یا اقدام به آن، در این کودک به‌دلیل تفکر غیرانتزاعی مختص این دوران و بدون توانایی اندیشیدن به عواقب و کشندگی روش تصور می‌شود. نتیجه‌گیری: حتی در کودکان نیز باید در صورت احتمال وجود افکار خودکشی/دیگرکشی یا اقدام به خودکشی، مورد به‌طور دقیق ارزیابی و اقدامات لازم جهت کاهش این رفتار انجام شود. /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal" mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0 mso-tstyle-colband-size:0 mso-style-noshow:yes mso-style-priority:99 mso-style-qformat:yes mso-style-parent:"" mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt mso-para-margin:0cm mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt mso-pagination:widow-orphan font-size:11.0pt font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif" mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman" mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-fareast mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin mso-bidi-font-family:Arial mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi} |

Importance of Considering Suicidal Thoughts and Behaviors in Young Children: |

Objectives: Considering and evaluation of suicidal thoughts in children. Case report: This report introduces a five years old child who presented with the signs and symptoms of threaten to suicide and homicide by knife, restlessness, verbosity, irritability, verbal and physical aggression toward others. This child has been treated with methylphenidate, due to symptoms of attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) for a short period of time. During the preparation of this report, he was hospitalized in the children’s psychiatric ward of Shahid Beheshti Hospital of Kerman for the second time after a short interval from the first-time hospitalization. Suicidal and homicidal thoughts of this child and his attempts for suicide or homicide were possibly due to non-abstract thinking related to his age without ability to think about consequences of these actions. Conclusion: Suicidal and homicidal thoughts or actions should be evaluated carefully even in the children, and also the appropriate interventions should be performed to reduce these behaviors. |
