Relationship between Prenatal Attachment and Framework of Health Literacy and Coping Styles with Stress among Pregnant Turkish Women |
|
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله |
Background: Prenatal attachment affects maternal and infant health throughout life. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the variables that may affect prenatal attachment. This study was carried out to investigate prenatal attachment, health literacy and ways of coping with stress of turkish pregnant women, in the framework of a structural equity modeling approach. Methods: This study, which was planned as descriptive, relational and cross-sectional. The study was conducted face-to-face with 420 pregnant women in a university hospital in the Southeastern of Turkey, between 15 May and July 2022, as descriptive, relational and cross-sectional. In the analysis of the research, a structural equation model was established by using SPSS 25 and AMOS 23 package programs. Results: It was investigated that the prenatal attachment levels of the pregnant women had a weak positive relationship with the seeking of social support and submissive approach styles, a moderate positive relationship with the optimistic approach styles, and a strong positive relationship with the self-confident approach styles (p< 0.001). It was investigated that there was a weak positive correlation between the prenatal attachment levels of the pregnant women and the sub-dimensions of understanding the information and appraisal/evaluation of the health literacy scale (p< 0.001). Conclusions: It has been investigated that there is a strong relationship between prenatal attachment, coping styles with stress and number of births. It was concluded that health literacy and stress coping styles were effective variables on prenatal attachment. Therefore, it is very important to investigate and develop the knowledge level of women about their health during pregnancy. |
