Introduction: Today, according to the changes caused by COVID-19, modern information technology science has occupied a higher position, which can promote a realistic understanding of technology, develop an interdisciplinary program, and promote scientific and technological activities in the educational environment. Considering the growth of new information technologies caused by COVID-19, this study investigated the role of new information technology in education during the pandemic. Method: In this systematic review, all studies between 2019 and 2022 were searched in MEDLINE/PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, ProQuest, IranMedex, MAGIRAN, and Scientific Information Database (SID) databases and analyzed with a Thematic Analysis approach. Results: Fifteen articles out of the 1966 search results were included in this systematic review. Among the initial studies entered, 9 articles are in the form of journal articles, 5 conference studies, and 1 thesis study. Data were extracted into two main classes, education and knowledge management, and four subclasses: learning, performance quality, infrastructure, and planning. Conclusion: Forming skills for positive and creative work using new technologies is complex. In joint planning in multidisciplinary teams, adaptability can increase education using technology. However, using new information technologies requires more support for educational leadership. |
