Context and purpose: Increasing insight, improving law enforcement knowledge, and using active and passive defense strategies have a significant role in crisis management, and many incidents and incidents will be solved with this strategy in society. The aim of the current research is to provide a structural equation model of the relationship between insight and crisis management with the role of passive defense as a mediator. Method: The current research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of implementation method with structural equation modeling approach. The studied population was 240 employees of Isfahan police command (participating in the provincial insight courses), and using Cochran's formula and simple random sampling method, 148 employees, all of whom were second-level managers of F.A. A. Isfahan was elected. The method of data collection was library and field studies, in the field section, the standard crisis management questionnaires of Jahanbakhsh et al. (2015), the researcher-made questionnaire of Baisart with 14 items, and the questionnaire of passive defense with 30 items were used. To analyze the data and test the hypotheses, correlation and multiple regression statistical tests were used in a step-by-step manner. The validity of the questionnaires was calculated from construct validity (convergent and divergent) and reliability using Cronbach's alpha test equal to 0.95, 0.94 and 0.97 respectively and composite reliability equal to 0.96, 0.95, 0.97 respectively. SPSS20 and Smart PLS software were used to analyze the obtained data. Findings: The findings of the research showed that insight and its components together with passive defense have an effect on crisis management, and the passive defense variable also plays a mediating role in the relationship between insight and crisis management. Conclusion: It can be concluded that increasing insight is considered as one of the important factors in improving the quality of crisis management along with paying attention to the dimensions and components of passive defense. |
